Josh Machiz leads marketing at Lightspeed, where he helps founders navigate their most critical inflection points, from first fundraise to IPO.

Before joining Lightspeed, Josh was a Partner at Redpoint Ventures, where he built a best-in-class founder experience platform across marketing, communications, business development, events, and talent. He turned Redpoint into the most-followed VC on TikTok and Instagram, launched several podcasts, and created a network connecting operators, buyers, and builders to help portfolio companies scale faster.
Before venture, Josh spent over a decade at Nasdaq, finishing as Chief Digital Officer. He transformed Nasdaq into a digital media powerhouse with millions of followers, developed its in-house studio and content operation, and hosted their Mission Driven video series. He also helped win hundreds of IPO listings for the exchange and launched the Nasdaq Executive Network to connect newly public companies with experienced leaders.
A New York native, Josh studied at McGill University and earned his MBA from Fordham. Outside of work, he’s happiest hosting dinner parties with his husband, Drake, and finding new mountains to ski and snowboard.
